What's Pop'n Y'all? Popeyes Team Member 'Miss Cynthia' Shows Cajun-Hospitality by Singing to Guests

Miss Cynthia shares the spirit of New Orleans with guests at her local Popeyes restaurant by singing their orders to them through the drive-thru for over 30 years.

Ms. Cynthia Carter has been working at Popeyes for more than 30 years. But how she has approached her career is a little different from most – rather than simply taking customer drive-thru orders, she SINGS the customer drive-thru orders as she looks to infuse some of Popeyes’ southern roots and hospitality into every customer interaction. Ms. Cynthia greets each customer with catchy tunes, phrases and songs as she sings back guests’ orders at the Popeyes drive-thru. She is even able to sing the entire Popeyes menu. “Spicy or Miiiiild” she sings as a high-pitched melody or “Do your thing, walk it out, set it off!” she sings as she infuses humor into her daily routine with customers.

Bringing Joy to Work

Miss Cynthia knows how to share joy with Popeyes guests, and when recently asked why she approaches her job the way she does, she said, “Somebody gotta make somebody smile every day!” Miss Cynthia infuses songs, love and positivity with every order and for every customer. She has always found joy in her work, and when asked what advice she would give to people just starting their careers, she notes that they should “Take pride in what [they] do,”.
