Big Mess in the Big Easy: Popeyes Supports Mardi Gras Clean-Up Krewe with Celebration Feast

Popeyes celebrated the true heroes of Mardi Gras with a chicken dinner for the people who keep the streets clean after the big party.

Every year, Mardi Gras draws thousands of people to Popeyes hometown of New Orleans, and with any big celebration there is bound to be a big mess that needs to be cleaned up afterwards. It’s estimated that NOLA street sweepers collect 608 tons of parade trash each year.

Popeyes wanted to show some love and thank the clean-up crews who will be putting in the work after the parade to keep the city of New Orleans clean. Popeyes hosted an after-hours feast for the Clean-Up Krewe of NOLA to celebrate the hard work of the grounds crew and street sweepers.
